Alameda County Fair Pleasanton - Eat for Fun and Fat Loss

Alameda County Fair Pleasanton – The fair certainly is known for it's food...however not typically for healthy food.  When you think of the fair and food, you think corn dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy and other deep fried, sugar laden stuff.  While this is certainly true, if your visit to the fair isn't going to be a cheat day then you should be happy to know you can find things that aren't too bad at all.

India Garden Pleasanton - Healthy Choices Downtown

India Garden Pleasanton – Based on their menu...if you can avoid huge amounts of sauce and other "unknowns" you can make healthy choices...stick with proteins (i.e. meats) and veggies and you'll be good.

Mix and Eat Bobs House - Pleasanton Healthy Korean Restaurant

Mix and Eat Bob's House Pleasanton – When you see the name, your first reaction is certainly not..."this must be a Korean restaurant".  You likely think it's some greasy spoon, American dive.  Next, if you venture inside or check out their website, you notice they have a very strange menu...meat, rice and veggie bowls along with some wraps, sides and... pizza???!!  Apparently, according to some inside sources, they have pizza because the landlord requires it...apparently the previous restaurant served pizza.

Despite the idiosyncrasies, the food is actually very healthy...sans the pizza (which if you've read my reviews before, you know is something to avoid if you want to lose fat and be healthy).  I actually just ate here for the first time on a Friday at lunch a couple weeks back (I sat at the table outside on the right in the picture above...such relevant info).  Get here before noon if you want to get a seat and not have to wait in line...this place attracts a number of the lunch time office crowd.  You can get the food to go as well.  Bob's is located on Hopyard in the strip mall behind Burger King right by the 580 freeway in Pleasanton.

With that said. before you head out to Mix and Eat Bob's House on Hopyard in Pleasanton check out my choices below from their menu.
