Pleasanton Parents Do As They Say....and Do - Part II

Great question and the answer is……..we don’t.

Wait a minute, didn’t I just write how important it is to lead by example? Yes I did, and let me explain what I mean when I say “We don’t”. We decided that rather than running out to sign up at the local gym, we would researched on how to truly get fit and stay fit in the most time efficient and cost effective manner. Not that there’s anything wrong with belonging to a fitness club, they can be great places to work out, find a personal trainer and socialize if you have the time,  In the end we decided that we would make the small, but incredibly valuable investment of engaging a local Certified Personal Trainer.

Our trainer taught us that you do not need to go out and run 5 miles a day, or even spend the money for a Tri-Valley Health Club membership and hit the gym three to four days a week, two to three hours at a shot to get into the best shape of your life. Instead he taught us that in as little as 30-45 minutes a day in our own home we can achieve the same or even better results as someone who runs 5 miles a day or hits the gym for hours. We happened to hire Mark Rogers. Mark is a local Pleasanton Certified Personal Trainer who has taught us how to get the most value out of our precious time and finances. Most importantly, Mark has provided us with the opportunity to truly “Lead our children by Example”.
